About Incausa: Incausa is a study to find meaningfulness in profit, for mindful growth, personal, community and society. Beginning with the creation of a product line for ritual and meditation practice that touches on the ancient traditions. That are pure in essence, materials and simplicity. And which design speaks of a sustainable distancing from automation and up-value the human hand touch.
In South America there are still hundreds of different indigenous ethnicities. Their hand work remains untouched by time and modernity. We envisioned creating a model for market placement and distribution that allows us to observe the effects generated by capital to their sovereignty.
Using the profits from our productions and developed logistics network, we are able to act as a pro bono mediator, connecting the trade directly to the wholesale market without any share of profits. Our intention is to reignite indigenous heritage, uplifting cultural values and building sustainable opportunities to the artisan.
We continue to develop relationship with a growing number of producers who share our values and enthusiasm building a line of resonating products to be distributed "in-cause". Currently coordinating artisan outputs in Peru, Brazil, USA and Nepal.
With a team from the Tibetan refugee community, that became not only the core of our assembling operations here in Brooklyn, but also an inspiration that's seen throughout the work.
