Spend quality time together with your special people or gift this set to a crafting enthusiast! This DIY candle making kit is a beautiful hands on experience into the aromatherapy world of essential oils. You can use each created candle as an individual gift.
Set includes: 3 metal votives with lids, 450gram soy wax, 3 wicks, essential oil blends (Lavender, Rose and Peppermint), glass measuring jug, stickers for the candle votives, and sticks for stirring and securing the wick.
THE WAY WE USE THIS FABULOUS PRODUCT
1. Take all ingredients out of the box.
2. Remove the protective paper from the sticker on the bottom of the wick.
3. Place all three votives on a heat-resistant surface or pad, where they can remain untouched for at least 3 hours.
4. The wax will need to be melted in a water bath. Put water in a pot to boil. The pot should be big enough to easily place and remove a cup. When put into the pot, the water should be at the cups 300ml mark.
5. One candle needs 150g of wax. Measure this amount using the scales and pour it into a cup.
6. Put the glass cup into the pot with the water (water bath).
7. When all the wax has melted, carefully take the cup out of the pot. If the cup handle is hot, use a heat protective glove.
8. Pour all of the rose oil into the melted wax. The entire quantity of one oil bottle must be added.
9. Using the wooden mixing stick, mix the wax and the oil (around 30 seconds).
10. Pour the scented wax into a candle votive.
11. Secure the wick with chopsticks so that the burner is in the centre of the candle.
12. Do not move the candle, because the candle votive is hot.
13. Wash the glass cup with warm water and dishwashing detergent.
14. In exactly this order, melt the wax, mix with the peppermint oil and pour in a second candle. Then secure the wick to the centre of the candle with the chopsticks.
15. In exactly this order, melt the wax, mix with the lavender oil and pour in a third c candle. Then secure the wick to the centre of the candle with the chopsticks.
16. Let all of the candles set for at least 3 hours.
17. When the candles have set and the candle votives have cooled down, stickers can be glued to the sides of the votives. Before gluing them on, the name of the candle and it's maker can be written on the stickers.
